Our mission
Dunamis Word Publishing has a heart for readers to experience a life-changing relationship, reading how dearly God loves you. Each publication embraces the heart of God to encourage you and lift your spirits with a fresh, God-centered perspective of His love, hope, and victory in Christ.
Dunamis is the word the New Testament uses for power. It is the word behind “you will receive power” in Acts 1:8, and the word Paul reaches for when he calls the gospel the power of God for salvation.
It is not power as force. It is the strength of God, at work in a person. We took the name as a standard: every book we publish should carry more than information.
So we publish for the reader more than for the shelf. Devotionals for the hours that are hardest. Teaching that traces Scripture back to its Greek and Hebrew and returns with something a person can live on. Word studies written for the pew and the small group, pastoral and never academic.
What we look for in a book
Scripture first
The Word does the work. Our books open it, trace it to its original languages, and get out of its way.
